Paddlesport Clubs

You may want to think about becoming a member of a national or regional canoeing and kayaking organisation such as the Scottish Canoe Association; British Canoe Union; Canoe Wales; Canoe England or the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland.

These organisations are a great source of general information as well as training courses for paddlers of all levels. An appropriate training course for beginners can help novices learn all the basic skills and techniques, including water safety and how to use the correct equipment, and get off to a confident start.

Membership of these organisations also includes third party insurance cover and this is highly recommended for paddlers of all abilities.

Paddle Activity Providers

When planning to take on the Argyll Sea Kayak Trail you may require assistance from a local paddling activity provider. Paddling activity providers can offer you a variety of services along with local knowledge and can save you planning time, suggest accommodation and campsites, and even offer you options including camping, cooking and other essentials.

If you do not have your own boat(s) and need to hire a canoe or sea kayak, a paddling activity provider can arrange for you to be full outfitted for the adventure.

Toward Sailing Club
